MEET THE DOCTOR

Dr. Maria Colome joined Kelsey-Seybold in 2007. She is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and the American Board of Pathology. Dr. Colome speaks Spanish and cares for her patients at our West Clinic.
Professional Background
After graduating from medical school at Autonomous University of Yucatan in 1984, Dr. Colome completed four years of residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Baylor College of Medicine (1991) and two fellowships: Surgical pathology at MD Anderson Cancer Center (1992) and Dermatopathology at The University at Texas Medical Branch (1993).
She practiced Dermatopathology and General Pathology at MD Anderson Cancer Center from 1993 to 1998, when she returned to The University of Texas Medical Branch and completed her residency in dermatology (2002).
Academic and Clinical Position
Dr. Colome is a clinical associate professor in the Department of Dermatology at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston Academic and at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.

Dr. Colome’s clinical interests is in skin cancer.
